The Giessen Cultural Summer is the region's summer open-air highlight and takes place on the open-air stage of Schiffenberg Monastery – one of the most beautiful venues in Central Hesse. In 2025, the festival will once again provide top-class entertainment with a varied programme and stars from a wide range of musical genres. This year's highlights include performances by Nile Rodgers & Chic, Samu Haber, Rea Garvey, Johannes Oerding, Kool & The Gang, Kreator, Fury In The Slaughterhouse, Destruction, Tankard and many other artists. The festival offers something for every taste and transforms Giessen into a large stage for music, culture and encounters for several weeks.
