Whether theatre, comedy or music events: Since its inauguration in 1955, the open-air stage in Heppenheim has lent a very special flair to many events. The building, which was erected to celebrate the 1200th anniversary of the town, also proved its worth at the Hessentag 2004. Thanks to the particularly beautiful view of Starkenburg Castle, the amphitheatre built on the site of a former quarry is one of the event spaces that fascinate visitors by its uniqueness alone. The terraced semicircle can comfortably seat 2500 people.
