The Alzenau Energy Park was created as a lasting legacy of the 10th Bavarian Garden Show in 2015. With over 270,000 visitors and 2,000 events, the event was a milestone in urban development. Today, the sustainable park connects schools, kindergartens and the city centre directly with each other.
The focus is on renewable energies – in a playful way and without pointing fingers. Under the motto “Have fun!”, interactive gardens invite visitors to discover the power of sun, wind and water. While the “Hai Energy” and “H2O Garden” water playgrounds invite visitors to romp around in summer, the park also encourages them to think about our consumption of resources. A special highlight is the 70-metre-long viewing platform with a panoramic view over the renaturalised Kahlaue, while the sandy beach on the shore invites visitors to relax.
