The association "Die Kammermusik in Wiesbaden e.V." has been organising concerts since 1872 and is thus one of the most important cultural institutions in the state capital. Citizens of the city are involved in the association in order to secure chamber music its rightful place in the musical life of the city. The history of the association was already associated with great names in the past: Johannes Brahms, Max Reger, Richard Strauß, Paul Hindemith, Wolfgang Fortner, Elly Ney, Ludwig Hoelscher, Walter Gieseking, Amadeus Quartett, among many others, performed in the association's concerts.
