An extensive inventory of fiction and non-fiction, CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, magazines, newspapers, board games and console games awaits you on around 2,300 m². With a library card from us you have access to e-media from the Onleiheverbund Hessen.
The media are presented in so-called “worlds” that are based on the human living environment. The user should find everything in one area that belongs together for him (e.g. the world "breathing breaks": everything you do in your free time, food & drink, travel, sports, etc.)
In addition to the media offering, there are numerous events and exhibitions for young and old.
On the ground floor, the Hölderlix reading café invites you to relax and unwind.
We offer you workstations, PCs, chess tables including figures and several seats. There is also free WiFi throughout the house, which you can use with your private smartphones, tablets, eReaders or laptops.
We are also barrier-free and a member of the Help Island for Children.
