Art and culture are very important in Dreieich. In addition to the city's diverse club life, this includes above all the extensive cultural programme of the community centres in Dreieich. The heart of the community centres in Dreieich is the community centre in the Sprendlingen district. In 1972, the building complex designed by an architectural firm from Mühlheim was inaugurated. As a "place for citizens and associations", the then mayor of the still independent town of Sprendlingen, Erich Scheid, opened the building with its characteristic façade of natural Rotlava stone.
