Petrihaus Frankfurt
Petrihaus Frankfurt
60489 Frankfurt am Main
Every last Sunday of the month from February to November, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The former home of master baker Johannes Petri, which later became the garden house of merchant Georg Brentano, was restored on the initiative of local residents and now houses a Brentano Museum. In 2019, a state-of-the-art studio building was opened next to the historic Petrihaus; it is used for cultural events organised by the Friends’ Association and can be hired for various types of events.
The annual programme of the Petrihaus Friends’ Association includes events focusing on Romantic literature and music – and much more besides: at the Brentano Honey Day, the Rödelheim Music Night and Open Monuments Day, the Petrihaus presents itself as a cultural monument for everyone.
The Petrihaus complex is open on the last Sunday of every month (with the exception of a winter break) and is run by members of the Petrihaus Friends’ Association, which was founded in 1998..
