The jungle begins right in the heart of Wiesbaden. Where the city grows quieter and the greenery becomes denser, a place opens up where art takes root and encounters flourish: the Kultur-Dschungel. Since 2021, we have been weaving together nature, theatre, music, art and dialogue to create an experience that is not only seen and heard, but felt.
A forest full of art
Across 3,000 square metres, narrow paths wind through wild woodland, past hidden nooks, clearings and artistic installations. Amidst the leaves, shadows and patches of sunlight, space is created for the imagination.
Our open-air amphitheatre
Set amidst lush greenery, our amphitheatre – the heart of the Kultur-Dschungel and home to the summer theatre – opens up. Throughout the summer, we fill this special open-air stage with vibrant theatre: accessible, surprising and full of atmosphere.
Classics of world literature for a modern audience
The Summer Theatre brings great works and timeless stories to the stage. The productions explore their relevance in the present day, open up new perspectives and invite audiences to rediscover familiar works in surprising new ways. They combine literary heritage with contemporary reality and bring classic texts to life for today’s audience.
A place for everyone to come together
The Kultur-Dschungel is more than just a venue. It is an open space for people to come together. People from all walks of life meet here as equals. With the ‘Solidarity Ticket’, which since 2023 has allowed visitors to pay a contribution of their own choosing, we are consciously breaking down barriers and making culture accessible to everyone.
A place to discover
The Kultur-Dschungel invites everyone who wants to engage: with art, with nature, with one another. A place to discover. A place to pause and reflect. A place where the city and the wilderness tell stories together.
