Information

HOMONALE is the queer film festival of the state capital, Wiesbaden. The festival has been held annually since 2001 at the historic Caligari FilmBühne cinema. The festival’s programme covers the entire spectrum of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and non-binary – in short: queer – films. The film genres are equally diverse, ranging from dramas and comedies to crime thrillers and documentaries. HOMONALE is the only queer film festival in the Rhine-Main region. Year after year, the festival is organised by volunteers from the HOMONALE film group, in close cooperation with the City of Wiesbaden’s Cultural Office and the DFF – German Film Institute & Film Museum. The festival works closely with the queer community in Wiesbaden.
