A collection of Wächtersbach ceramics shows what stoneware of the Biedermeier, Historicism (e.g. wicker baskets) and Art Nouveau periods looked like. A kitchen from around 1950 is furnished with Wächtersbach ceramics and contains a bar ice refrigerator built around 1900. Other kitchen utensils and household goods illustrate earlier housekeeping and stockpiling. The results of an excavation on the site of the former Spielberg castle are presented. Finds from the time around 1600 are on display. A cobbler's workshop as well as carpenter's, wainwright's and joiner's tools are reminiscent of past crafts. In addition, garden tools, utensils for domestic slaughter and old toys are shown. A special attraction is the model layout of the Vogelsberg Southern Railway, which is ready for demonstration. This private railroad, which ran between Wächtersbach and Birstein, helped the Wächtersbach earthenware factory to have its own rail siding in 1898.
