The basis of the collection consists of donations and loans from the Count's House of Schlitz, called von Görtz. Over the years, many objects were added, also from the Schlitzer(länder) population. Old craft traditions – primarily the centuries-old linen weaving – are presented. During a tour, the production of weaving products is vividly demonstrated on one of the three functioning looms. A shoemaker's workshop with tools provides an insight into the craft life of our ancestors. The museum houses a collection of weapons and flags, complete farmhouse parlors with wardrobes and a marriage bed from 1867, kitchens from the 18th and 19th centuries and a rich collection of Schlitzerland traditional costumes. A room with traditional costumes and Bohemian porcelain, souvenirs from the old homeland, handicrafts and musical scores is dedicated to the expellees from the Egerland who were resettled after the war.
